Cerastium tomentosum, commonly called Snow-in-Summer, is a fast-spreading, mat-forming perennial groundcover valued for its silvery-grey foliage and profusion of small, starry white flowers in late spring to early summer. It creates a beautiful carpet effect, cascading over walls, edging pathways, or filling gaps between stepping stones. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it thrives in poor, well-drained soils and sunny spots, making it perfect for rock gardens and dry slopes.
