Description
Calamagrostis emodensis
Calamagrostis emodensis is a hardy, clump-forming ornamental grass native to South Africa. It produces graceful upright tufts of narrow green leaves, topped in summer with tall golden-brown flowering plumes that sway beautifully in the wind. This indigenous grass is excellent for naturalistic plantings, meadow-style gardens, and erosion control, while also attracting birds and beneficial insects. Very low maintenance and water-wise, it thrives in a variety of soils.
