Description

Aristida junciformis (Ngongoni Three-awn)

Aristida junciformis, commonly known as Ngongoni Three-awn, is a hardy, tufted perennial grass indigenous to South Africa. It forms dense clumps of fine, wiry, grey-green foliage that turns a golden-brown in winter, adding year-round texture and movement to the landscape. In summer, it produces delicate, feathery flowering heads that shimmer in the breeze. This ornamental grass is extremely tough, tolerating drought, poor soils, and neglect, making it ideal for low-maintenance and water-wise gardens.
