Description
Cistus (Rock Rose)
The Cistus, commonly known as Rock Rose, is a hardy evergreen shrub admired for its abundant, crinkled blooms in shades of pink, white, or purple, often with a striking central blotch. Blooming from late spring into summer, each flower lasts only a day, but the plant produces them in succession, creating a long-lasting display. Its grey-green, aromatic foliage adds year-round interest and thrives in hot, dry, and sunny conditions. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it’s an excellent choice for water-wise gardens.
