Description
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Dwarf Zebrinus’ is a compact, clump-forming ornamental grass prized for its striking green leaves marked with horizontal yellow bands. This dwarf variety offers the same bold foliage effect as larger Zebrinus types but in a more manageable size, making it well suited to smaller gardens and container planting.
It thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil with regular watering during establishment. ‘Dwarf Zebrinus’ provides excellent structure and texture in mixed borders and pairs well with flowering perennials. In late summer to autumn, it may produce soft, feathery flower plumes that add further seasonal interest.
Low maintenance and hardy, it should be cut back in late winter or early spring to encourage fresh new growth.
